Okay all you faithful followers out there…time to be real: I HATE BLOGGING!  I have never been the type of person that enjoys writing (it's why I have degrees in Biology and Biochemistry and not English).  I don't think I am very good at writing. In fact, I have thought on almost every occasion that I suck at writing; and therefore I suck at blogging! Because of these feelings I often put off writing a new blog (as you can see by how long it has been since I have last posted one) and do all I can to procrastinate posting anything here. I recently came across a blog (ironic, huh?) titled Permission to Suck by David Kadavy. His main point was that people don't just magically get good at something. That they have to give themselves permission to suck first. After a while, doing the things you suck at lead to you being better at them and them maybe being more enjoyable. So…blogging world…here is my commitment to you. From this day on, I give myself permission to suck. I will blog twice a week from now until launch in January (and as much as possible after). That's a promise. I am not promising that it will be good, but I am promising that it will be real and that it will happen. I am hoping that you will all keep me accountable. Don't see a blog post pop up by Thursday of each week? Get at me! I am going to be okay with sucking at blogging for a while so that some day, I won't suck. I won't hate blogging. So stay tuned…we can only go up from here!

P.S. Here is the link to the blog post I came across in case anyone else wants to suck at something (and be okay with it) in the hopes to someday, well, not suck. http://www.kadavy.net/blog/posts/permission-to-suck/
