About one week ago, a friend of mine challenged me to write ONE sentence describing each country I have been to so far. Thanks for the set up for a perfect blog Addie!
Ecuador: The smiles and giggles of the orphan/special needs
children melt my heart while their stories break it.
Peru: I wish there were more I could do to keep these
young kids out of the gangs that they
join in order to help feed their families.
Peru 2 (we went to a different place instead of going to Bolivia):
I really see the spirit move as my guitar skills come out of the
woodwork and I help lead worship three nights a week.
Romania: A new team and a lot of down time resulted in a
lot of personal growth and the start to deep friendships.
Ukraine: I watched a lot of people gain new sight, both as we
gave them new glasses at the eyeglass clinics
and as we explained why we love Jesus.
South Africa: Spending 12 hour shifts with infants and
nights out on the streets building relationships
with the prostitutes really changes one's heart.
Mozambique: Between the witch doctors and the enemy’s attacks,
we saw just how powerful the Holy Spirit is.
Swaziland: There is nothing like the smile and
laugh of a little African child!
Thailand: Playing guitar and singing with children who
have been taken out of homes/high risk situations for
being trafficked does something amazing to my soul.
