Welcome to my blog concerning a huge adventure the Lord has allowed me to partake in– It's called the WORLD RACE!

WHAT IS THIS??

I will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months to spread the word of the Lord and serve the people of these countries any way they need us to. The countries I will be going to include: South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland, India, Thailand, Nepal, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Moldova, and Romania!

WHAT WILL I BE DOING??

We will typically not know what we will be doing in these countries until we arrive. Every day on the World Race will look a little different. Some days will be packed full with construction, VBS, building relationships with orphans, or praying for the sick at a hospital. Some days could be slower where we will shop for groceries at the market, cook for our team, and spend time praying for the community we will walk through. Every day will be focused on being a part of God's Kingdom work, in every way that could look!

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST??

I am attempting to get donations from friends and family to support my way through all of these countries on my own. I in no way intend on letting my parents pay, for this is a decision I made based on a call from the Lord, and I want to go about it on my own. It takes approximately $15,000 from each individual on our team that will cover food, lodging, and air, land & sea travel. Therefore— anything can help!!! I am not asking for thousands of dollars from everyone. $50 a month for 12 months from 25 people could get me there in no time. 🙂 Every little bit helps!

HOW WILL I USE MY GIFTS ON THIS TRIP??

First and foremost, I love the ability of using art as a therapeautic process, and with all of the cultures we will be thrown into, this can be one way I can assist with the language barriers. I love how the beauty of art can make people smile and feel at ease in any situations. Creativity brings the children out in all of us! I have either been playing or coaching soccer since I was four years old, and I know this gift will also help me relate to people. With soccer being an extremely common sport in the countries we will be traveling to, I believe this will be the easiest communication bridge to cross. Lastly because of all of the challenges with my virus in my cornea, I will be able to relate and encourage people who have any difficulites they are facing. I hope to be a beacon of my faith in God that I did not let my disability stop me from loving life and reaching my dreams!

HOW I WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED??

I will posting on this blog at least once a week, as well as compiling images/videos each month concerning the country that we traveled to previously. I intend on letting all my friends and family be as much a part of this trip as I am!  Thank you so much for viewing this page, taking a little time to get to know me, and praying for my adventure into the world. I pray that the Lord gives me guidance, security, overflowing love, and support to each and every person that I may touch. God bless!!
