Today I was walking with two teammates doing ATL (Ask The Lord), and we were working our way to a coffee shop. We passed a woman on the side of the street, among about ten other street vendors, and my heart was drawn to just her for some reason. She was sitting on the ground, and selling varies drinks. She looked sad and weary. I felt that I needed to just go greet her and smile at her, and buy a drink. I didn’t want to inconvenience my teammates, so I kept walking. A teammate said she wanted to turn around and ask a certain shop where to get coffee, so we did. The shop was right across from the woman. While my teammates were in the shop, I looked at the woman, yet never got the courage to go to her. We moved on the the coffee shop, and I never talked to her. I now wish I could go back and talk with her.
I hope we end up going over to that street again through HS leading. I don’t remember where we were, otherwise I would be there today.
Don’t follow my example. Always follow the prompting of HS, no matter what you feel like doing on the inside. You will regret it!
