We got on our ferry at 00:25, and are sitting for a while, waiting for the ferry to fill. We left at 01:00. The ride took two hours. Now we are back on the road…

We have one guy on our bus crew that is pretty great. He is always working, and always smiling and laughing. He knows very little English, but we still communicate fairly well.

…While we were on the ferry, EmilyAnn, Jessica, and I went up to the open air seats and sat in the music room for a bit. When the music got too loud, we went down to the main deck and stood at the rail…

It’s 02:00 now, and the sea and sky are black, except for the stars and the beautiful lightening in the clouds. There are only a few clouds, but there is lightening almost every night in Indonesia because of the hot, humid weather. The scene of the ocean with the weather was just an awesome testament to God’s design and power.

…We docked around 03:00, and of course had to wait for the ferry to empty from around the bus. We were on the road again around 03:20. That is when I slept for real…

While driving in the early morning I was listening to “Be Still”, Kari Jobe. The driving was pretty crazy and we were already exhausted and ready to be done with our trip. The words “be still, my soul, be still” we’re extremely comforting and I was able to get to sleep for a bit.

…We stopped for breakfast from 07:00-08:00. When we got back on the road, we passed a cemetery, and a funeral a little while later. I wonder how many of those people I will meet in heaven. Probably only a few in any…

I’m the original Sarah. I was not made to be like anyone else.

…There was a goat eating the drying rice grains… He looked very pleased with himself…

After this year of bus rides and long travel days, 18 hours to Oklahoma will be a breeze, and any plan ride less than four hours will be easy.

…We stopped for dinner from 17:00-18:00, and got back on the road to some more night driving in the mountains.

This story of travel is to be continued…
