For four weeks, my team has been in Saldus, Latvia, working for a mission center called St. Gregor. The month has been a bit more relaxing than last month, with more personal time, a very quiet location to process and think, and amazing hosts who wanted us to be able to relax and enjoy the country.
Our ministry consisted of cleaning the mission center in various ways in the morning, taking a break for lunch, then visiting schools in the afternoon or attending church events in the evening. We helped our hosts prepare space for visiting groups, gave testimonies and worshipped in church services and schools, and attended a weekly youth bible study. We also got a chance to help our hosts prepare a birthday party for their daughter, share about ourselves at a youth gathering, and do some listening prayer and prayer walks for the area and mission center.
I spent a lot of the month processing many thoughts I have had over the last few months, as well as dive into learning truth about God and his Word. I also got the chance to seek answers and truth from various feedback times, and things people had told me about how they saw me. My favorite times of the month were actually getting to read portions of the bible with the sole intent of knowing what it said, then getting to ask God what he meant when I didn’t understand something. I learned a lot about God this month in what the Bible says.
For Father, Son, and Spirit, I look on to the next month in a new country!!
