Okay, so this has “officially” been my shortest travel day to a new month… It’s the last time I have a new ministry, and the third-to-last travel day of the race. The next will be traveling back to South Africa for final Debrief, and then our travel back to the US from there.
We actually got the blessing of being able to pay for a private van for only our team, and our driver picked us up at our doorstep in South Africa, and drove us all the way to the front gate of our ministry in Swaziland!
We left Durban, South Africa, and LIV Village about 07:00 on Sunday, October 23rd. We arrived in Manzini, Swaziland, at 14:30 that same day. So, including stops and the border crossing, we made the trip in about 7 1/2 hours. We also made our fastest border exiting and entering process of the race. The only faster ones were when we were traveling from country to country in the European Union. There aren’t really borders there.
The unique part of this travel day for me was actually how I felt about leaving Month Ten and going into Month Eleven. I flat out did not want to go. I woke up that morning praying, “God, I’m done. I’m done saying goodbye. I’m done traveling. I’m done getting to know new people that I’m just going to have to leave again. I’m done being responsible and having responsibilities. I’m done not seeing my family at the end of traveling. I’m just done.” This was followed by the prayer, “You better provide a pretty dang good reason for me to be at Hosea’s Heart this month, otherwise I’ll probably completely check out.”…
I’m now looking for at least one thing God is doing this month. This could be the reason I stay present…
