The month of January was a chaotic, awesome, scary, joyful, exciting month of craziness. We left to US on January 3rd, arrived in China on the 5th, were in Bangkok a few hours later, and drove out to Chiang Mai for 10 hours. We spent two days in the city, then went to 5 days of training camp an hour outside the city, and came back to the city for a few more days of training. We had 2 off-days and then went into 5 days of Launch training, learning some of the fine details of being on the Race. Since then we have been doing ministry and today is our last official day in Chiang Mai. Tonight, we will get on a bus for 10 hours back to Bangkok, will hop on vans for the 4 hours to the Cambodian border, and continue on to our ministry site for next month!!
Yeah, it’s been busy. God is good. His love endures forever.
In the amount of time we have had here, all of my teammates have dealt with something. Our team leader has felt oppressed and downtrodden for the last week or so, a teammate ended up in the hospital with Appendicitis (she’s out and doing well without her appendix now), another teammate injured her tailbone when she jumped 50 feet off a cliff into water (it was a planned tourist activity), one has restless leg syndrome, another has planter’s fasciitis, and I have been dealing with allergy symptoms and a bit of a stomachache today.
Yeah, it’s been busy. God is good. His love endures forever.
Through it all, we have had a God-given amount of joy. One day, we were doing a remote prayer walk, praying for our area while at our lodging, and we’re reading Psalms. We were filled with so much joy and praise for Father, we started a dance party! Our Team Leader named this time “PDP”, Psalms and Dance Party. It’s a thing now. Start it near you!!
Onward for Father, Christ and Spirit!!
