Hiiiiiii!!!!! So here I am in beautiful New Zealand! I got in around 5 am MONDAY, which was about 11 am SUNDAY East Coast time. Yeah, I missed a full day of my life which seems pretty crazy! But I got in safe and with my bag fully in tact, which was definitely a blessing because the baggage guy at LAX insisted it would not make it all the way to NZ.
New Zealand is beautiful. I have a mountain in my backyard and natural hot springs down the road. It’s summer here, but it fluctuates between very hot to a lil chilly. A Kiwi told me to always bring a “cardie” wherever I go for that reason. (Translation: a native New Zealander told me to bring a sweater everywhere.)
I arrived a day early since I’m in charge of finances for my team and had to do some extra training. Today, though, the rest of my team got in. It was awesome to reconnect with them and remember that I won’t be on this adventure alone! And I think it’s really important to remind ya’ll that you’re invited on this adventure too!
So how can you be a part of this adventure?
1- Subscribe to my blog. You can do this by signing up on the left hand side of the screen. Or add this page to your favorites . Either way, you’re definitely gonna wanna stay up to date with all the awesomeness on my journey!
2-Financially partner with me. I’m about halfway to my total fundraising goal, which is awesome but I still have a ways to go! You can donate by clicking on the Support Me! tab on the left hand side of the screen. Remember this money goes to all my food, lodging, travel, and communication for a FULL 11 MONTHS!
3-Pray. A lot. I need prayer. My family needs prayer. My team needs prayer. These nations need prayer. Every month I’ll be sending out an email with prayer requests. This will have specific ways for you to pray for the country I’m in, the people I’m meeting, my team, myself, etc. If you want to be a part of this, please leave a comment saying so and your email address. Or feel free to email your address to me at [email protected]
Thanks for being a part of this experience. And thank you for all the love you’ve been sending my way. LOVE AND MISS YALL!!!
