I never know quite how to start on these things. Hmm…
Well there’s the obvious. I was born and raised just outside North Philly, but moved to SC to go to school four years ago, and pretty much never looked back. I’m 22 and a recent grad of the best university ever- CLEMSON (GO TIGERS!)! I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education: History, but realized that God definitely did not make me to be a teacher! I had a tendency of becoming friends with my students. They were just so interesting and I felt like I could help them a lot better if I got to know them and they got to know me, which is difficult to do and retain the student/teacher dynamic. I love working with youth though, especially at my church. I pretty much love all kids. I’m a camp counselor, which is by far the best way to spend summers, and I volunteer in my church’s nursery which I love! People have told me that I get along so well with kids because I refuse to grow up, which is probably true…ok definitely true. 🙂
I’m definitely a free spirit. I tend to think of the big idea and worry about the details later. This can be good because it makes me very spontaneous, but sometimes this impulsiveness leads me into some trouble and misunderstandings.I also think this is why people have sometimes referred to me as a hippy and as a gypsy, but I don’t think either of those things is bad. I think that’s the only way to live. There’s just so much in this world to learn and experience, and I feel like it’s a slap in God’s face not to try to learn and experience all of what He’s created. That’s why I’m SO super duper excited about the next year! I can’t even imagine what God has in store for me and my team!!!
