1. Was there a particular time when you sensed God’s call to join this ministry with Adventures in Missions? What were the circumstances? Describe this.
October 13, 2015 was when I found out about AIM, The World Race. I researched it and felt a burning passion inside of me. I knew this was the trip that God had planned for me all along.
2. How did God call you through His Word?
“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.'”-Isaiah 6:8
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5.
“To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out”- John 10:3
3. Was there a person God used in calling you?
My cousin, Gabrielle.
4. Were there any other circumstances God used to call you?
When I was 16, I went to a summer camp called “sandblast” with Vineyard Youth. God spoke to me there and said that one day I will be sent to Africa. It was overwhelming that I heard Him so loud and clear for the first time in my life. Ever since then, He hasn’t let Africa slip my mind.
5. For what purpose do you believe God has call you to this ministry?
He’s given me such a strong desire in my heart for missions. I have a heart for small children, orphans, elderly, homeless, anyone in great need physically, and especially in need of a Savior… my heart goes out to them. I know that He has called me to Africa specifically because ever since that one week at summer camp, God has never let me lose sight of that moment no matter how hard I tried to run from it and do things on my own. In my most pivotal points in life… He brought Africa to my attention to remind me what my real purpose in this life is. But besides Africa, when I was researching each different route, I felt peace about each country on this specific route. The call He has given me to go and the way He has opened so many doors already is obvious that He has called me to The Race.
6. What kingdom dream has God given you? (It’s okay if it’s only a seed at this point.)
My Kingdom dream is to write a book to all the ladies out there who are struggling with childhood/teenage/past events in life and searching for their purpose in life. With that book, I plan to be a traveling evangelist and hold woman seminars. Also, to adopt children in the nations in need of a mother/family.
7. How do you hope God will use your time with Adventures in Missions?
I hope He uses me to bring His light and love to those around the world who haven’t really heard of Him or maybe those who just don’t have the life that we have (home, family, necessities..etc) I hope He breaks me even more out of my comfort zone in my every day life out there. I hope He teaches me more of abandonment and opens my eyes to what He really has for me in this lifetime. I hope He uses AIM as a launching point for my life.
8. What do you hope will be the end result?
I hope that by the end I’ve learned what true worship is and how people worship Him all around the world with every culture I will encounter. I pray that as an end result I’m not afraid to step up and step out wherever I am. I pray that He shows me what my next steps to take are, whether it is what I’m currently leaning towards (ministry school) or not. I hope I make life long friendships. I hope whatever God needed me out there for is accomplished in full.
“What breaks your heart in the world?”
