As I have been packing the past couple days, attempting to fit my life into a backpack, I’ve been thinking a lot about what I must leave behind. Not only will my favorite pair of beat up tennis shoes not be heading out with me, but many other things that have come to be such an important part of my life. I am going to miss Monday Night Football at the Thompsons, Comotion game nights, watching the Price is Right, Jen Adam’s pot pie, Chick-Fil-A, SS Volleyball, Tennis, and much more. However, there is one thing I am going to miss more than all others…those who have supported me financially, prayed for me, thrown me going away parties, made me books of pictures or verses to take with me, given me great travel pants, helped me move, helped me pack, encouraged me when I’ve needed it, held my hand through vaccinations, and kids that have sung me “You are my Sarah.” I thank you so much for the impact you have made in my life, and I can’t wait to take the love of Christ you have invested in me and share it with everyone I will meet this next year!!!
