Our first couple of days of ministry have brought some incredible blessings from the Lord.  I will try to recap everything for you.  Monday we met Pastor Antonio and his family.  We found out we would be staying in his house in San Pedro and taking Chicken buses or truck bed taxis to San Pablo everyday, where he pastors a church and does his ministry.  After unloading all our stuff we took the 20 minute trip over to San Pablo to see the church.  We walked around and met many of the church members and prayed with them.

One man we met had not come to church since his wife had died 10 years ago.  We prayed for him and invited him to come the next night to the service.  We were blown away by God when he not only showed up the first night, but last night as well.  Pray that he continue to be faithful in attending.

Tuesday we went back to San Pablo to do some kid ministry.  We gathered young kids on the basketball court, and I was priveledged to pull out some of the games I knew from my Tim Team training.  After some fun and minor chaos, we sat the kids down, and I shared the gospel with them, using my shirt that has all the salvation bracelet colors.  When I asked if anyone wanted to pray to accept Christ, not only did a few kids hands shoot up, but also a 20 year old boy named Domingo, who just happened to come up and play with us.  God was so faithful.

After playing with the kids, we attempted to play basketball against the Guatemalan youth.  Luckily we had Domingo on our team because we would have struggled.  We scheduled a time today to play against the Guatemalans at 3!  Pray that we don´t get killed and also that we get a chance to share Christ with them!

Wednesday morning we went with Pastor Antonio to work on a project with the church members.  A man offered to pay them to move rocks off his land that are there from the mud slides.  After about 2 hours of working a long side them hauling rocks, we sat down for a break.  The pastor asked us to talk and pray with a boy, Zacheo, that was working with them but not a Christian.  After talking with him, we realized that he believed he had done too many bad things for God to forgive him.  After we shared the truth with him, God blessed us with the chance to pray with him, while he accepted Christ!

Later that afternoon, the Pastor asked us to sing a song on his radio show.  Obviously he doesn´t know my singing abilities.  Still we sang ¨It is Well with My Soul¨ and were broadcast all around the lake.  Later at church we ran into Zacheo, who couldn´t attend until Saturday because he has night classes.  He told us he had heard us sing on the radio and felt that we were singing a prayer for him.  God has graciously showed us amazing fruit of our labor!
