The past couple of days have been incredible.  Yesterday we spent several hours searching for a van to drive down to the interior of Mexico, then Guatamala, and then back to Los Angeles.  No luck yet on buying one, but we have had several good options.  If anyone has one they are willing to donate and drive down here…bring it on!  Last night and this morning we have spent time learning about church planting.  Basically, the desire in it is to gather some believers, worship God, share the Word, and touch lives.  So this afternoon they sent us out into the community.  My team was assigned to go into an area where the houses were made of any scrap wood or metal that could be found.  There was no running water or electricity.  Our goal was to walk around and meet the people, find out their needs, and pray with them.  The people were so warm and welcoming, and I just wish I knew a little more Spanish!  The highlight of the day for me might have been when we found a bunch of kids playing on a dirt mound having the time of their lives.  We joined in and were quickly sliding down it with them or playing king of the mountain.  The kids’ laughter was such a joy!  They were sad when we left, but hopefully we will get to go back to the area on Saturday.  God has been so faithful…I haven’t even heard roosters since the first night!
