Team Veracity has had quite the time in the past month and a half….which I just realized I have failed to tell you all about! Sometimes I get so caught up in the here and now that I forget my supporters have no idea what’s going on unless I tell them. OOPS! I’m working on it.
This is what Team Veracity looked like at launch. Left to Right: Meg, Catherine, Sarah (me), Emily (team leader), Cassie (finances), Serah, and Dana.

The last month and a half has brought about a few big changes for Team Veracity. We’ve had changes in leadership. We’ve had to say goodbye to one of our members. And most recently, we have added a new team member! That’s a LOT! So I think it’s time to reintroduce you to Veracity.
Catherine:

Meet our new team leader! Catherine has a fierce, passionate love for our team. Her heart is definitely made for leading small groups of women. She pursues Christ wholeheartedly in her life and encourages us to do the same. She yearns for holiness. She’s also quite wacky (her own word).
Emily:

This girl is not the same Emily I launched with in January. Over the past four months I have seen her change and grow so much by simply opening up, being vulnerable, and allowing God to heal her. She’s still her creative, bubbly self and is a great encourager. She can come up with some of the most uplifting, fun team times.
Serah:
This is one curious girl. She searches for answers to questions no one else on our team thinks to ask. Because of that, she pushes our team into deeper conversations and makes the rest of us yearn for answers as well. She also has a great laugh and can crack herself up. We have dubbed her our napper.
Meg:

Our new finance person! Meg very humbly stepped into this role at the beginning of month three and has done a fantastic job so far. This new position has allowed her to grow in areas that might otherwise have remained untouched. Meg is our comforter. She is always there to listen. She cries when you cry and gives reassuring hugs. Meg and I also love to put our cooking skills to use together. If only you could have tasted some of the goodness we have created together in the kitchen!
Cassie:
I love this girl. Cassie is widely known for her deep love for Uganda. Most people don’t take the time to look farther than that. The past four months have shown me that Cassie is FULL of passion. For others, for kids, for Christ. She lives a life full of it! Cassie is also my fellow wanderer. We are the adventurous ones of the group and usually explore areas together.
This was Team Veracity at the end of month three. Six women. All with different backgrounds. All learning to live out our team name. All growing. A lot of changes had already happened in the span of a month.

Little did we know God about to put another part of His plan for our team into place right before we left South America. So without further adieu, let me introduce you to our seventh and newest team member…. (drum roll please)
Sarah:
Sarah and I clicked at training camp as soon as we started talking. She’s easy for me to talk to and isn’t afraid to say hard things. She brings something amazing to our team now. Sarah has a fervor for the Holy Spirit. She longs for his presence in her own life and the lives of each of our team members. Having her on our team is a huge blessing!
So with Sarah as our new addition, Team Veracity now has ALL THREE Sarahs of N Squad. We joked about us all being on the same team back at training camp…so now that we actually are on the same team it’s a little funny. We have resorted to going by nicknames or last names to lessen the confusion. Now we go by Riddle (or whatever nickname people call me at the time), Imperiale, and Workman. If someone calls for Sarah, we assume they mean all of us. We are working on it.
So now you’ve been updated on Team Veracity. We’ve had some changes, but we are as strong (if not stronger) as ever. I love these women. As a whole. Individually. Our team has changed, but our desire for truth; for veracity has not. We still yearn for it. We still practice it daily. We seek to become better at it. And we are excited to see what God has in store for Veracity in the coming months, because goodness knows He has grand plans for us!
