Lodging: Our team is staying a house of one of the church members. We have three rooms and two bathrooms to ourselves. There is no furnishing so we are sleeping on our pads on the floor but I get to shower multiple times a day and have a fan going at all times so I am quite content.

Ministry: Various. We walk and pray around the neighborhood in the morning. In the evening we visit the kids and new moms floors at the hospital and visit with them. This weekend we will be performing a Christmas concert in front of about 1200 people in a city close to us. That should be interesting. There will be caroling later in the month and at the Christmas Eve service at church we will be singing two songs- one fun, one serious, with dances as well as one indian song and a 10 minute silent skit. Yes. That is happening.

Food:  Much like Thailand. Cheap enough to eat out. We get invited to people houses a lot more here too. Love that! (There would be a picture if the internet connection wasn't so bad! Sorry)

People: A variety. There are Indians, Chinese and Malay. There is a high percentage of Muslims here so we get to hear very loud prayers over megaphones multiple times during the day. My favorite is the 5 AM one! It has become evident that not many white people come through because people stop us everywhere to talk to us and ask where we are from and why we are here. They are very, very friendly and welcoming!

Prayer Requests

-Praise! Team transition has been awesome. I love these girls! Pray that we continue to grow together, love one another, and spur each other on to love and good deeds.

-That I am even more open to the love God has for me.

-That I press into and continue to develop the gifts God has given me.

-That I stop trying to always understand things but simply live and let myself be loved- without explanation or justification.
