Hellloooo and greetings from Carolina Beach, NC! 
I've been living down here for a little over a year now (wow, time flies!) and absolutely love it! I have some of the best part-time jobs in the world- kayak tour guide, ropes course facilitator, nanny and waitress. While I loveeee my jobs and love NC, God has called me out of my happy beach bubble to serve Him all around the world.
~30 fun facts about me~
1. I graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Bio-Behavioral Health in May 2011
2. I absolutely love kayaking- especially in the salt marshes of the NC coast
3. I have competed in 4 sprint triathlons
4. The first time I went skydiving my parachute didn't open.. so they used the reserve!
5. I tried to do the "gallon challenge" in which you attempt to drink a gallon of milk in an hour. I drank about 3/4 of it and didn't throw up!
6. I am always up for an adventure- building climbing, exploring secret tunnels, jumping in fountains, etc
7. The Passion 2012 conference changed my life (and is the reason I applied to the World Race!)
8. I work at a seafood restaurant, live at the beach but do not like any type of seafood.
9. I randomly joined the equestrian team my freshmen year of college, just for fun even though I don't know anything about horses or how to ride properly
10. When I was 2 years old, I got my head stuck in the banister of the stairs for several hours.
11. I'm kinda a pyromaniac and like setting random things on fire- in controlled environments, of course!
12. I love running and ran my first half marathon, the Disney Princess half, on Feb 26.
13. I love baking and had an awesome "baking club" with 3 of my friends in high school
14. I have a new found love/talent for painting, but unfortunately I am only successful when someone plays the guitar/sings in the background!
15. I love camping on random little islands!
16. Christmas is my favorite holiday! I love everything about it- the tacky sweater parties, the parades and flotillas, pretty decorations, cookies & other baked goods, Christmas songs, candlelight Christmas eve services, family gatherings and of course, Jesus!
17. I like to dye my hair crazy colors.. well, only the bottom layer.
18. I could eat cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner… and have before.
19. When I "grow up" I want to be a counselor for at-risk youth. Or own/operatate my own busienss. Or bust into brothels and break women free from sex trafficking. Or possibly something completely new and different will surface after this trip.. Stay tuned 🙂
20. I want to go on the World Race because I want to grow in my relationship with God, see His power all over the world and serve the people of various nations!
21. I am currently learning how to play Ike, the ukulele, and hope to be a professional after these next 11 months!
22. I have 2 awesome younger sisters. Elaine lives in Nashville and Jacqui is a sophomore at College of Charleston.
23. I have some irrational fears- two of which being beards and that someone is hiding behind my shower curtain..
24. My more rational fears are the dark and needles
25. I have never been on a mission trip outside the US (now I'm about to leave for 11 months.. go big or go home, right?)

27. My birthday is on pi day. Like the math pi: 3.14…
28. I always paint my toenails pink (which is my favorite color, by the way..)
29. Greta, my 6 year old fluffy mutt, is the best dog everrrr.
30. I have the most amazingly supportive family! Especially my parents who have helped me out in SO many ways in preparation for this 11 month journey!
