Dear family, friends, and strangers reading Sarah’s blog,

This blog was not written by Sarah, but by the other members of her team. As Team Themelios, we have been with Sarah since day one of her World Race journey. We have gotten to see her grow and serve the Lord in India, Nepal, Vietnam, and Cambodia. We wanted to take a moment to share with you how God is moving in and through Sarah`s life. Each paragraph is written by a different team member, reflecting on the growth they’ve seen in Sarah over the past four months.

Sara- I see the reflection of God so clearly in the way He made Sarah: to be a reflection of the Creator by being Creative and seeing others the way He created them, as beautiful. Sarah has such a gift for photography and I’ve loved seeing her use her gift to bless our hosts and other people on the Race in such a tangible way. Sarah will make you laugh with her sarcastic comments and stank face, but there is so much beneath the surface that is just waiting to reveal itself. She is learning to trust others and be vulnerable, letting others into her story. I am so proud of Sarah in how she has let her paradigm be challenged on the Race and is willing to learn new and sometimes scary things.

Danielle- I don’t even know where to begin with Sarah. She has been such a vital part of this team and my World Race journey. Thanks for sprinkling our daily lives with laughter even in the midst of the hard. The ways she has chosen to step into new depths and freedom with the Lord are incredible. It has been amazing to do life alongside her, constantly learn from her vast knowledge of the world, and grow from her humbleness in her relationship with the Lord and others. A humble servant of the Lord is so much of who Sarah was created to be. She is a selfless giver, and that is a gift from the Lord.

Lindsey- I could fill up pages for this girl. Sarah has been my rock on the race. Some people have even mistaken us for sisters, which I am very okay with! She brings so much joy to our team, especially with her ability to laugh at herself or to find humor in tough circumstances. But then there is this hidden little part of her that has grown more apparent over the last four months. When no one is looking, you will find Sarah helping those around her in such a humble way you can almost miss it entirely. She doesn’t do it for show or acknowledgement; in fact she usually hates getting called out on it. But if our host ever needs anything, Sarah is the first to volunteer to do the tasks no one else would want to do. She is always looking around to see if there is something else she can do to help out, even if no one asks her to. It can be easy to miss because the quality that stands out more evidently is her joy, but her servant heart is just as inspiring.

Joanna- Sarah loves mexican food, coffee, and laughter. I have loved laughing with Sarah the last four months over everything from nursing stories to cute babies. I’ve been able to watch Sarah grow and come into her own as a servant, a caregiver, and a companion. It’s been so sweet to see Sarah, especially this month, use her talents for photography in such a kind and practical way. From giving photos to the family to taking our team pictures, Sarah have a gift of making others feel both seen and beautiful, which is such a huge part of God’s heart lived out in her. Sarah has blessed the team with her talents and letting us enter into using her talents to bless other people. P.S. Thanks for not knowing me the first week in India and still nursing me back to health when my body purged its contents. You da real MVP.

Thank you to each person who has supported Sarah on this journey through prayer, encouragement, and donations. Our team would be lacking without Sarah’s presence.

Thank you so much for praying for and supporting our team, through sending Sarah!

Love, Team Themelios
