So I’ve been here in the Philippines for the last week, sorry I’ve been a little slow on the blog train, I promise I’ll try to be better.
I had to come a day earlier than the rest of the team because I have been given the position of “finance person” on my team and had some extra training. I know what you’re thinking, “Who’s the fool that decided I would be good at finances?” I know, that’s what I thought too, so please pray for me.
All week, we’ve had our “launch”, which is just a simpler way of saying a little more training and a little assimilation into the country. In between our talks and excercises we’ve wandered the streets of the slums making new friends and went and played with the kids at the orphanage across the street.

So here’s where I’m going to get really honest with you:
The group I’m with may not classify themselves as charismatic but they are far more charismatic than I would ever be comfortable with. And this launch thing has been more of that weird crazy stuff I talked about in my blog on training camp, you know all that weird prophecy stuff, speaking in tongues, and there was even an attempt at raising the dead. Here’s the honesty part: I think it’s all ridiculous. I don’t want anything to do with it, it freaks me out.
The point: I want to be open to it. I’m not at all right now but I think I would like to be willing to be open to it.
So if you could pray for me for that too that would be cool.

So good, if you could just pray for me a whole lot all around I think that would be good.
Thank you friends and family for all of your love and support.
