We’ve been in Thailand for 10 days now but the first half of that time was spent in Bangkok for our debrief. Debrief is basically just a couple days off for yourself to rest and get your focus back and to be with the rest of the squad. Praise the lord for debrief.

Malaysia was such a rough month for me that debrief came just in time. Being able to just rest in the Lord was exactly what I needed. He just relieved me of the heaviness of last month and really taught me how to find my identity and my worth in Him rather than my relationships with others (which is something I struggle with, in case I haven’t mentioned that before).

We are in Chiang Mai now, living and working at a coffee shop. Wongen Kafe is the coolest little place and it’s located right across the street from Chiang Mai University. I get to spend a portion of my day working in the cafe and getting to hang out with the women who live and work here and the college students who drop-in. Next week, we are going to head three hours out of the city to go live in one of the many villages around here and work in the rice paddies out there. I couldn’t have asked for a more fun month! Everything I love wrapped up in one awesome month! And I even get to go horseback riding… how awesome is God.

I’ve only been here for a week and a half now but this month has already proven to be such a redeeming month. Not only is God teaching me so much from everything last month but He is just revealing Himself and His love for me in so many awesome ways. I mean, I got to go to a jazz club in the middle of nowhere, Thailand; clearly God loves me.
