For years I have been talking about wanting to go to Cambodia. Pictures of Angkor Wat were my screensaver throughout college. It was at the top of my bucketlist… and here I am!
As you have probably read, the first couple of days in this heavily anticipated country were not the best but I have definitely learned a lot from it. Like comfort for example, this whole trip I have been trying to learn what it looks like to turn to God for my comfort and until team changes happened I never really got a grasp on it.
Anyways, not the point of this blog.
The point is, even though it started out rough, I got to go to Angkor Wat! The one place I have wanted to go more than anywhere else in the world. And not only did I get to go at sunrise, supposedly the best time to go, but I get to spend the whole day exploring this temple city with some of my favorite people. It was such a redeeming, relaxed day to just be able to go explore and laugh and have fun and not worry about all the new changes.
Praise the Lord.
