This is my brother.

Rat Olmstead.

He left for his first year of college a couple weeks ago and now I don’t have anyone to play Guitar Hero with.

Let me tell you a little story about my brother and a couple of his friends:
Before the start of the summer, the youth pastor at my church gave the youth group a “Ten Talents” challenge to raise money for the youth group (Matthew 25:14-30). Each person or group of people was given $10 and was challenged with the task of doing something to double that money. My brother and two of his friends used the $10 to buy gas and start a landscaping business, mowing lawns and cutting down trees. Long story short, they made a bunch of money, gave it to the church, and then kept up their lawn-service business over the summer. I don’t know all the details, but together the guys decided to donate the rest of what they earned this summer to support me; this was over $200! So first I cried (Q-squad get ready, I’m a huge cryer) and then I was just baffled. If I was a 17-year old who spent many many hours working in the hot sun cutting the grass, my first thought would definitely not be to give the money away. So thank you guys so much!! It means so much to me!

I’m so proud of you Thomass!
Love,
