It’s princess month! The Lord has gone above & far beyond any expectations I ever had for the World Race. In essence, He spoiled me this month. Here’s how:
––Hotel: This is category is vast and includes many facets of the spoiling.
1. We had comfortable beds.
2. We had air conditioning.
3. We had western toilets.
4. We had a real shower.
5. We had constant wifi.
6. We had maid service.
All of this, every single day, for a month. Well, except for the 3 days we went to stay at an orphanage, but still!
––The Beach: Seriously, our hotel was a 15 minute walk to the beach! The first half of the month I got up almost every morning to jog to the beach and spend time with Jesus there. Seeing how big He is & what a beautiful creation He has made. One morning we all got up really early & went & sat at the top of a fancy hotel right on the beach, & we watched the sunrise. It was so incredibly beautiful.
There were little things along the way, little God hugs, that continually reminded us how blessed we truly are. With or without physical evidence of God’s love for us, we know within the deepest parts of our hearts that He loves His children–His princes and princesses.
We are blessed above all our freedom to love Him openly, when it is so difficult for the Vietnamese Christians to share His love at all. We Americans, Canadians, Australians, Germans, etc., forget our commission to share the Word & Love of God because today it is so easy for us to do so. We don’t have to fight for our right to do so, so we don’t fight for His children at all! Vietnam has been a wake up call to this.
