The spirit of fear is not something I take lightly in my life.

Sister Paige (one of our contacts in India) has asked us to blog once a week, so here goes week one.

I never actually knew what culture shock was until I reached this village.  Squatty potties, curry, curry, and more curry, NO PRIVACY, covering yourself from head to foot, and more.  The enemy used my nervousness against me and saith within me a fearfulness I had not felt since Papa healed me last October.  I held it in until we could have team time, and then “the kracken was loose,” so to speak.

Friday night we had a meeting with us, the children, the pastor, and some people from the village.  I got to see how they worship, and although obviously different from our worship in the States,  I could feel Papa there.  I looked at the face of one child in particular, and I could see her heart for Papa.  I saw the faces of the village women and saw their desire for Him.  I prayed, I worshipped, and I sought Papa….and He found me where I was.  He replenished the peace in my heart that felt so lost.  He restored my heart with love, peace, patience, and understanding.  Praise Him!!

India is definitely going to be a challenge for me, but “I can do all things through Him, who gives me strength” (Phil. 4:13).  I must have patience in His people, for we all love and worship Him.  We just come from different places, and praise Him in different ways.
No expectations, flow with Papa’s ways.
