In honor of Thanksgiving and my recent birthday I thought I would share with you 22 things that I am thankful for on the Race:
friendships that last long distances
skype/facetime/text messaging
teammates who challenge and encourage me daily
God's unfailing love and grace
children's beautiful smiles
the support and encouragement of friends and family
the smell of clean clothes
hot showers (even if they are infrequent)
the ability to witness other cultures worshipping the Lord in their own language
the joy that a simple paper airplane can bring
teammates that have musical abilities
warm woolen socks
finding good pumpkin pie and Mexican food in Nepal!
parents who go where the Lord calls them and who encourage me to do the same
kids are kids – no matter what country you're in
laughter
the opportunity to go to Africa – dream come true!
not having lice -yet!
homemade cookies that have travelled across the world – and friends who were willing to send them
seeing God's work all over the world
the women and men who have shared their story with me and who testify to the Lord's faithfulness and provision
the opportunity to be here on the World Race – to experience God working in my life and to see His beautiful creation

Thank you to all who read my blogs and send prayers and encouragement my way. I could not do this without you.
My route has changed again – the next half of my race will include Swaziland, South Africa, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and China!
