Two weeks ago I received an email from my World Race mobilizer asking if anyone would volunteer to switch squads, as our squad had 70 people. I was perfectly content with my squad and the route I had chosen but decided it couldn't hurt to at least look at the other options. One of the other routes stood out to me, but I wasn't sure if I wanted/needed to switch.
The new route I was considering included Ireland…rewind a couple of days…a friend of mine had shown me a Christian band from Ireland that I fell in love with and we talked that one day we would have to visit Ireland. I had never really given Ireland much thought before that week, so it made me wonder.
I wanted to be certain that switching was the right choice, so I immediately asked the Lord for a dream or a clear answer from Him. Now I don't normally hear from the Lord through dreams or signs but really wanted to be sure that it was Him speaking and not me. That very night I had a dream about Ireland! I still wasn't completely convinced but started to feel that switching was the right choice. Another dear friend of mine told me that she didn't believe in coincidences, that God was in everything. After chatting with her I knew I needed to switch and felt completely at peace with doing so.
So my new route is:
Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia
