El Shaddai

Swaziland is beautiful. We are on a mountain top with about 70 children at El Shaddai Children's Home.  The views are stunning and the children have already captured our hearts.  We have a World Race alum here and a peace corps volunteer working with us, which is also really cool.

This month we are doing construction projects in the morning and hanging out with kids in the afternoon.  We are also helping to lead chapel and some of us will be preaching on Sundays. I am so so excited to work with the kids. The first day we tutored, I was helping with math and I don't even like math, but my heart was so full. It was incredible.

We are each partnered with a child to help them with homework and get to know them for the month, which is awesome.  I am assigned to work with a 6 year old boy. He is adorable, hates homework, and spends a lot of his time being mischievous. His english level is really low so working with him is definitely a challenge. I love him.

Our prayer for this month is for all of these children to have sponsors. We are looking into what that looks like and how sponsorship works, so I will blog more about that later.

We are safe and in the most beautiful place in the world! Wish you were here! 🙂
