Training camp.

Training camp was the most emotionally tiring week of recent memory.  I exhausted my ability to process while learning more about myself than I could have ever imagined.   I met some of the most amazing young adults a person could wish to meet and my life became intertwined with these incredible people that crave the Lord in everything that they do.

We were challenged, inspired, prayerfully thought over, connected, and loved all week.  We made friends that will likely last a lifetime and started consciously narrating the story of the rest of our lives.  We learned a lot, bonded a lot, laughed a lot, thought a lot, prayed a lot, worshipped a lot, packed up our tents a lot… and did not sleep a lot.  We were pushed and pulled in all directions but in the end we were dancing.

We were grouped together into teams for ministry next year and my team is awesome.  We instantly connected and work together in a completely organic way.  We all bring different things to the table and I know that we have so much to learn from each other.

Meet Team Illumination.

We were born from a "building" exercise where from the contents of our back packs, we built a lighthouse, changed it to a volcano, and then rebuilt the volcano into a school bus.  I feel like there is a metaphor in there somewhere.  I'll work on it. 🙂

Our vision is to bring light and love to places of darkness. Light it UP.

Every single person on X Squad is amazing, including our leadership team.  I am so excited to walk out into the nations with these people and do God's work.

I am about 50% funded right now, but please consider partnering with me in this ministry! All you have to do is click the "Support Me" button on the left side of my blog! Much love!
