Honestly, I have some expectations about the World Race, but I want to keep my mind pretty clear of them.  I think it's better for me to go in with a clear mind, ready for whatever is thrown my way.

Expectations….
– I expect to be uncomfortable, but learn to find comfort.
– I expect to lose things.
– I expect to get to know my team REALLY well and I'm really excited about that.
– I expect to be heartbroken at times.
I expect to shower a lot of love.
– I'll be honest, I expect to cry.
– I expect to laugh a lot too.
– I expect to be amazed by the people of all of the different cultures in the countries we will visit.
– I expect my faith to be strengthened.
– I expect to see a lot of change in myself.
– I expect that my hair will do interesting things…
– I expect to sing a lot.
– I expect to hang out with so many awesome kids.
– I expect to learn to live with less.
– I expect to give.
– I expect to be the hands and feet of Jesus and let Him work through me.
– I expect that a lot of things will happen that I cannot even imagine at this point.
– I expect that we will meet amazing people with amazing stories.
– I expect we will have fun days and hard days, happy days and sad days, but that every single day will be worth while.
– I expect to try to learn some new languages…
– I expect to be in awe.
– I expect to be humbled.

I expect that whatever God has in store for me, I am ready.  I am excited.  Pumped!  My fundraising letter is finished and I will be mailing it this week.  I expect this process to be hard but I know that it will be worth it.

"Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.  Let all that you do be done in love."
