Hey Everyone! So I’m guessing you want to know who I am and what I am all about.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. My name is Sarah Ward Lapp. I am 23 years old, 5’7 1/2″ and I like the color blue. I live in a sweet neighborhood in Brooklyn, but I’m a country girl at heart. I was born and raised in Louisville, KY. I swam competitively from the age 8 to 22. I come from a divorced family and I have a really complicated family tree so I won’t get into all that, but I will tell you I have 3 siblings: an older brother, Boogie, who truly knows God’s Word; a crazy older sister, Shannon, who’s faith and passion for Christ never cease to amaze and inspire me; and a younger brother, Timmy, who just started college this year. I have a dad who can somehow always make me feel beautiful and an amazing mom. She is my best friend. I can always count on her and I know she is always praying for me. Hi Mom!!
I have always been a child of God, but I have not always given Him a reason to be proud. It took me a long time to realize that God has a purpose for each of us and the value of that purpose. My passion for Christ was recently renewed and I have never been happier. I have found peace in trusting Him and finally truly listening to where He is guiding me. That is why I am headed for this amazing adventure. He led me to apply to The World Race and though I thought there was no way that I could actually go; that I could actually be this incredibly blessed to be given this opportunity. Here I am. By taking just one step outside my comfort zone God has answered not only my prayers but my life long dreams. We as World Racers are traveling the WORLD (my dream), sharing God’s Word (His will for us), and witnessing the power of His Love together (a blessing and one of many prayers answered).
If God has blessed me this much by taking one small step towards Him, I can’t wait to see what He does with all the steps I will take during the next year!!!
