Well, to begin with, my name is Sarah Elizabeth Allgood Knapp. I live in Marietta, GA, which is one small piece of the suburban sprawl that is Atlanta, GA. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Germanic and Slavic Languages, not because I wanted a job dealing with languages, but because I went to college more for the philosophical purposes of learning rather than the practical ones.

After months and months of praying about what I should do after college, I was invited to go do missions in Matamoros, Mexico with a local church, because they were in desperate need of a chaperone. What I thought was a “by chance” offer to go to Mexico, turned into the most deliberate and empowering experience God has placed in my life. I met people in Mexico who touched me, changed me, and encouraged me to grow in my faith and hunger for the Lord. Ever since then I see God as I never have before. It’s like when I first got glasses and realized that there are signs hanging above the isles of grocery stores that tell you what they hold. My path has always been set before me and now I see it.

I am so excited about the work we will do during these 11 months, and am ready to be changed and to grow through the experience. I can’t wait to meet y’all!
