This month on the World Race has looked a little different than previous months. Instead of being partnered up with one ministry and serving along side of them, this month we have been in Manila looking for and meeting with ministries. It has been our job to contact ministries here, learn about the work they are doing and assessing whether they would be a good fit for the World Race and if the World Race would be a good fit for them.
This morning my teammate Caroline and I had the privilege of sitting down with Rosely Fornoles, the Executive Director, of Christian Growth Ministries. They are doing great Kingdom focused work here in the Philippines and have 5 different ministry areas:
- Literature Ministry
- They publish Bible-based literary materials and resources for distribution
- Home of Joy (Orphanage)
- The Home of Joy is a child care agency for neglected and abandoned children ages 0-4yrs.
- Jabez Campsite
- This is a venue near the Home of Joy that can facilitate camps for children and other spiritual activities
- Church Assistance Ministry
- This branch of the ministry holds conferences, and assists churches in evangelism and discipleship
- Jabez Christian School
- This is a private school for children beginning preschool and continuing through high school. They currently have around 160 student and are focused equipping them to deal with life, be of service to God and becoming responsible members of their families and society.
