About a year and half ago I was studying for finals with one of my friends and during one of our breaks she wanted to tell me about this program called The World Race.  So we took a break from studying, she pulled up the website and showed me a video that would change my life.

All I thought at the time was, "that sounds like a cool adventure, I hope she gets to do it." Who knew I'd be the one taking off on this adventure.  That summer I went to South Africa for 3 weeks that changed my life forever.  God wrecked and rocked my world and it was the best thing that has ever happened to me.  I got to experience God.  Although I know God has always been there, before then I had never really felt him.  It was an amazing feeling!

I came back from my trip wanting to travel more, but graduation was coming up the following May and then it would be time to get a job.  I thought about settling into what my life could become and it didn't feel right.  Every once in a while I'd pull up The World Race's website and just check it out.  I began to play with the idea of actually leaving everything I knew behind for a year and blindly trusting in God.

That November something incredible happened.  I was baptized with my best friend and heard God tell me to go on The World Race.  It was all I could think about and I knew this was Gods next step for me.

So what is this crazy adventure?

No, you won't see me on TV haha it has nothing to do with the amazing race.

“ The World Race a journey to 11 countries in 11 months to serve "the least of these" while amongst real and raw community. It facilitates discipleship through the process of discovering into the abundant life He promised. It births partnerships with ministries around the world. It requires Luke 10-like faith.”

We don't know the details of what we will be doing, but we know we will be showing people Gods love and spreading his word.

The countries I will be going to are: China, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Nepal, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kenya, Rwanda & Uganda.  CRAZY! I know! But my team and I couldn't be more pumped for what God is about to do in our lives and the lives of others.

The total cost of the trip is $16,285.  I also have lots of supplies to get before I leave on my trip (backpack, tent, vaccinations, etc.)

Whatever you are feeling led to help me with, just let me know! Even if it's committing to pray for me.

I will be posting more about my preparations and my trip.  I am a new blogger, so try and be patient with me.

May God Bless You and Keep You
