Alright folks, it is about that time for me to jump on an airplane and head to India…how crazy is that?! It has been a roller coaster of emotions the past few weeks, but the time is finally here; we are officially doing this thing!
I haven’t really had time to deeply process and reflect on how I am emotionally feeling, but I have been thinking about how I don’t ever want to forget a few things. I don’t want to forget where I came from.
To be honest, it might be one of my biggest fears to lose sight of where I have come from. As ugly and as dark as some of those places I came from were, they are now a stark reminder to me of just how important the light of the Lord is in our lives. They are reminder to me of why Jesus is so important.
So with that said, there are just a few things I don’t ever want to forget. Not for the next 11 months or for the rest of my life…
God, please don’t ever let me forget how YOU literally and figuratively saved my life.
God, please don’t ever let me forget the moment YOU made me a new creation and washed away my sin.
God, please don’t ever let me forget how YOU started this World Race journey and that I had absolutely nothing to do with it.
God, please don’t ever let me forget about how YOU radically transformed my life.
God, please don’t ever let me forget how I fell head over heels in love with YOU and for how you have taught me about true genuine unconditional love.
God, please don’t ever let me forget that everything good in me is YOU.
God please don’t ever let me forget that YOU make beautiful things out of dust.
God, please don’t ever let me forget the incredible work YOU have done in, through, and around me in just this first year of our relationship.
God, please don’t ever let me forget the many blessings YOU have provided me this past year.
God, please don’t ever let me forget how much YOU love me and will always love me.
God, please don’t ever let me forget that YOU will never leave me or forsake me.
God, please don’t ever let me forget how good it feels to walk daily with YOU.
God, please don’t ever let me forget that none of this would have ever come to life without YOU.
God, please don’t ever let me forget that this life means nothing without YOU as the centerpiece of it all.
God, please don’t ever let me forget that YOU are always worthy of fighting for because YOU died for us to be blessed with a beautiful life.
God, I pray that you give me boldness and courage to share simple truths this next year and for the rest of my life… and that we all need YOU as the focus of our lives, always and forever.
Thank you for Your goodness Father. May you give me the eyes to see and the heart to love all of Your children in this world as you see them with a kind and tender heart.
