So I made it through month one! (some of you probably lost money on that bet hahah)
Just a quick note:
Our final days in Ukraine we’re pretty awesome. We got to play sports with kids in the village and then tell them about Jesus. Then our guys got to witness to some muslim men. crazy scary, but awesome.
We took a 48 hr train ride here, went through scary customs on the train. Arrived in Bucharest Romania on Sunday. We had some time as a squad, that was sorely needed. Just a time of prayer and worship and refreshing.
Today we started our ministry. We went to a place called Jubilee, which is a womens home for women with disabilities that have aged out of orphanages. We got to spend some time getting to know them. It was definitely challenging for me, they wanted a lot of physical touch and seemed to have no personal bubble. At one point one of the girls got upset, went to the kitchen and got a knife, and went outside to kill herself. She was upset about talking to her social worker, who had been talking to several of the girls about moving to a more independent location. A lot of the girls just cant comprehend this, and think they’re being gotten rid of, yet again. It breaks my heart. I cant wait to go back and get to know them more.
The place we’re staying in is absolutely beautiful!
God is doing big things, and im excited!
With love from Romania
