again! So there’s been a few changes in my little world in the past week. I’ve become pretty accustom to change, so
although this kinda rocked my world I’m so excited about what God’s doing!
of all I have a new team!!! Team Shiloh! (There’s a link to each new members
blog on the left) I know Courtney, Aly, Carin, Kyle, Heather, and Kevin are
going to encourage me to new levels and places with God. They are my brothers
and sisters, and there’s a fire that’s burning in our team that excites me
beyond words. The name Shiloh means a “resting place for giants.” But it’s not
just a resting place- oh now it’s soooo much more! Samuel, an amazing, anointed
man of God in the Old Testament was raised at Shiloh. It was a city where God’s
presence lived, and God was present and active there. They also had the Feast
of Tabernacles there- which remember a year past and celebrated a future
harvest! This team is going to be a place where God dwells, where we can build
each other up, a place of rest. My goodness! Aren’t you excited about what God’s
doing?!

the other thing- IM IN AFRICA!!!! I feel like im home. It’s a little different
than I expected, partly because we’re in a big city and I haven’t seen any Zoo
animals. But the people are absolutely beautiful, I just want to wrap my arms
around them and tell them how wonderful they are. Our team has already embraced
the acronym TIA (this is Africa). Haha It can refer to anything from the weird
smell (sort of a mixture of dirt and poop poop) to the different perception of
time. In case you didn’t know this apparently Americans (or Mizungu as they
call us) are the only people in the world who believe that being on time is
necessary. Lunch at 12 here means 12ish. Could be 12:30 or 12:59, and “Hakunamatatta-
no worries” as they say. They really do say that!!! Anywho, it’s beautifully
different here, and I cant wait to go to our new home tomorrow and find out
what our ministry’s going to be!
Change is good. Like skin cells, you have to change to be rejuvenated-
it means you’re alive.
