Ok so i tried to upload the video, and the internet here is to slow to support it. Until i can get into the city to better wireless or a coffee shop I cant upload it just yet 🙁 soooo sorry, please dont be mad. ill get it put up asap. thanks for understanding. until then here are some pictures:
 
The Matumbo Experience

Cost:

Cook Time: 9:45am-2:30pm

Pre Matumbo notes:
So I thought I was going to lose it in the butcher shop. It
smelled like blood and death. Thinking about eating intestines on top of the smell…
still makes me gag. I thought “what am I getting myself into”

 

Now we’re chopping and boiling it, presumably to get the
poop out. Hope the cow was eating a healthy diet.

It’s cooking and it smells like rotten flesh. Ew

 

The cooks are calling me a mazungo and cracking up. They
keep saying “oh it tastes good” I think they might be lying. It’s been cooking
for about 4.5 hrs and its still the consistency of a rubber band. Not excited.

 

I can’t believe I’m going to eat cow colon. Who’s idea was
this? Bad idea

Post Matumbo notes:

My mouth tastes like blood.

On talking afterward about it being intestines and the
grossness of it Joseph assured me washing before boiling gets the poop out.
Then he asked “Wait, did you wash them before you boiled?” I don’t want to
know.

I told him that when I bit into one of the round pieces
stuff squished out and he says “the poops? Oh I guess you did get some.”

Gross.

So in conclusion that was just gross. Its been like 2 hrs,
and while I haven’t thrown up, my body doesn’t seem to happy in the digestion
process.

My funds account is currently at $10,178!!! (only 4,122 to go!)
