My team and I have safely arrived in Malaysia. We spent one night in Kuala Lumpur and were able to see the Petronas Towers before heading to our ministry sight located on the island of Penang.

Our ministry this month is threefold:
1) We will be working at Kawan which is an organization which feeds and ministers to the homeless and holds a church service for them on Saturday mornings. We will have the opportunity to meet and build relationships with these precious people who are living on the streets due to drug use and recent imprisonments. We will be cooking for them, cleaning the facility they come to for meals, and sitting with them while they eat in order to hear their stories and share our faith.
2) We will be volunteering in a home for the handicapped.
3) We will be doing street evangelism which will be slightly tricky this month. Malaysia is a semi-closed country. The Malays do not have freedom of religion and it is illegal for them to change their faith. It is also against the law for us to witness to them, hand them a Bible, or allow them into a church service.
