At first the number $16,500 (excluding gear) seemed like an awfully big number to me. It was actually pretty daunting at first, but just as of recent have I started to fully embrace this rollercoaster called fundraising!

$16,500 allows so many people to invest and be apart of this with me. It allows so many people to be blessed through their giving and ultimately, being used by God as well. I may be the one leaving, but this is not just my journey. To those who have donated, and to those who have yet to; this is YOUR journey as well. To those who are supporting me with your prayers, this is YOUR journey. To those who don’t believe in Jesus, but feel the pull in your heart as you’re reading my blogs and following along, this is YOUR journey!
I am so glad that all of you can be apart of this with me, I can’t do this alone.

How is fundraising you ask??

It is a BLESSING!

God is teaching me so much right now, but mostly He is teaching me to TRUST him. Being a person of immense faith, I never put the two words together before, but I can see now where trust and faith ARE a package deal. This fundraising road has been a little bumpy as I’m sure you can imagine. I have had to lower my pride and with a humble heart, ask others to help support me financially. In the moments I feel impatient, God reminds me to be still and embrace the journey.
In moments of doubt, He has reminded me that I am not the one in control and I need to keep on trusting and relying on Him. I am learning that the God we serve loves to provide. I think maybe even He feels the satisfaction of giving to those who have needs, just like we do!

ADOPT A BOX is my next fundraiser. A few of the boxes have already been adopted, woot woot! If I can get all of these boxes adopted, I will be fully funded!

The numbers on the box are the amount that will be donated so for example, box 22 will be worth $22, box 68 will be worth $68 and so forth. Donations can be made on this site or by a check if that is easier.

I had a garage sale a couple of weekends ago and it was a success! Through donated items, we raised $1,000! What a blessing!

A HUGEEEE thank you to everyone who helped with that sale!!!

9 weeks left until training camp! That is ONLY 66 days! I am shocked at how fast time is flying by, but I am so excited to get this ball rolling.

Currently I am trying to finish out work strong, spend as much time with family and friends as I can, continue to get gear and other things I need for this trip, fundraise, volunteer, and be the hands and feet of Jesus while I am here. My days are often full of thoughts and preparation for the world race, sometimes I hear “be still” in these moments and I am reminded to pay attention to what or who is in front of me.

Continued prayers and support are so greatly appreciated friends! Until I leave, I will be in a season called “limbo” and I’m trying to embrace that as well 🙂
