I am awake, bags packed and ready to head to Malaysia with my squad in just a few short hours. One of the things I have learned about myself since being on the race is that I function much better when I can hold out and stay awake before we travel instead of sleeping for an hour or two before having to wake up again. I usually wake up groggy and my stomach turns for hours so here I am at 12:30 am, reflecting on my last four months in Central America.

I can’t believe we are already moving onto our next continent!

Central America holds so many wonderful memories for me and I know this is a continent I will never forget and I have not forgotten since my first time serving in Belize. While I don’t necessarily know what to expect as far as Asia, I have such optimism that it is going to be a place for me to witness God showing up BIG. These first four months I have learned a lot about myself. God has walked me through healing of old wounds. He has shown me what it means to truly be loved and accepted by him. He has shown me how to sit in abandonment and how to press into community. He has shown me the beauty in trusting him wholeheartedly. he has brought peace to area’s of my life where I have felt great anxiety. There is so much the Lord has revealed to me in this journey so far and I feel like He has so much more waiting for us in Asia. I believe these last 4 months are worth celebrating because of what He has shown me and for the ripples and impact we have made in this continent.

This month was hard for me for many reasons. It was not a wasted month or a bad month, it was just a month that had a lot of rough patches. It was a month where the enemy attacked me, my teammates and our team as a unit, but here we are now on the other side of freedom and having learned some lessons. Chichicastengango which is a very dark place spiritually, prepared me personally for what lies ahead of us and for recognizing more closely the schemes of the enemy.

For the last 5 days I have been in Antigua, Guatemala with my squad. We have been worshipping together, praying together, learning together, having fun and laughing together, and we have been poured into by our mentor Chrissy and her mentor Rozie. We also got team changes will I will get to in a minute, but how refreshed I feel from these last few days here! It is so nice when our leadership team from back home can come out to the field and share their wisdom and knowledge with us. If there is one thing I have learned most abut this trip, it is that The World Race is not easy and walking through this journey with a leadership team that is equipped to train and truly apart of this journey with us is such a blessing!

Team changes! Welcome to team “Capture” because we are going to capture Asia’s heart! 😉   That is not really why we chose that name, but I like it. We chose that name for many reasons, but ultimately we want to be a team that captures the moments and what God is doing. I am so excited about this team as I feel the Lord has such huge things in store for us. We already have our ministry information for this month and it sounds awesome, a lot of worshipping and praying. I can’t wait to share with you guys more about it after I scope out the situation and freedom to share.

If ya’ll could pray for the safety and health of our squad as we are traveling many hours and taking 3 different flights to Asia that would be so appreciated! We should be arriving in Malaysia on the 1st of February, however there is a significant time difference between Asia and America so with that, we are skipping the 31st. But please continue to keep us in your prayers as we are about to enter new territory.

I still need to raise $1,346 so if you guys could continue to pray for the last amount of my funds to come in that would also be awesome! And thank you guys again for your continued support. The prayers and financial gifts are so valued to me!

Next time you hear from me I will be in Asia! Ahhhhh! 🙂
