Hey Y’all!
My name is Sarah Hawkins, but if there are a lot of Sarahs I go by Shawkins or Shawk. The most important thing that anyone could know about me is that I am HIS, a daughter of the King and I want to be completely in love with Jesus.
In all honesty, I don’t really enjoy blogging/writing, but I will do my best. I just graduated from The University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Music with instrumental Music Education. I am now a certified K-12 music teacher! Music is one of my passions and I absolutely love kids. As to where I am from, I suppose the state of Tennessee is my home. I was born in Nashville, but my dad is a chaplain in the Army, so we moved around a lot. I graduated high school in Washington state and ‘home’ is now in West Point, NY, and now my parents are moving to San Antonio, TX. My family means so much to me, and I am so thankful for godly parents and a younger brother who is one of my best friends. Also, I am so excited that he is moving to Ktown to be a UT Vol! 🙂
Let’s see, more about me…? Flute is my main instrument, saxophone is my secondary, and tuba is SO fun! When I am not practicing my instruments or working, I love being outside. I love the mountains for snowboarding, hiking, camping, pretty much anything. I like to be adventurous, do crazy stuff, and be spontaneous, especially because most of my life is too planned. I love most sports. I love my Tennessee Vols- #VolForLife. I am a San Antonio Spurs fanatic. I really enjoy playing most sports, but I’m not really good at any of them. I also randomly enjoy reading, baking, and listening to classical music. Oh, and my favorite fun fact about me to share at training camp is that I have eye that has blonde eyelashes and one eye that has dark brown eyelashes! So that’s about it!
