In the last few days, my entire future for the next year has changed. It's a BIG deal, especially when I put it that way, but before I even got the call asking me to consider a move to the other squad, I found myself already half prepared to make any absurd leap of faith. It was an easy choice to make.

A few weeks ago, I was randomly browsing the World Race page and checking out different routes out of pure curiosity. I distinctively remember thinking to myself that it would have been cool to pick a route with more Asian countries, and maybe even head back to Thailand for a third time. I also sat there thinking that I really hope my route offers some good opportunities to interact with Muslims, especially after being inspired to do so from a class I took on Islam last semester.

Well, it just so happens that this new Race route will take me to 6 different Asian countries, with one of them being predominantly Muslim country of Malaysia, and I’ll likely have the opportunity to be more involved in working with human trafficking victims. From these three things alone, I can admit that this new route is far more suited to my gifts, interests, and directional leanings than the other route I was on.

So it looks like I will be heading back to Thailand and Cambodia and running this route around the world in reverse by starting in Eastern Europe. I am so pumped to go back to Thailand, and even more excited that I will be there during the crazy waterfights for the Thai New Year celebrations in April! This feels like the missing puzzle piece for my mission, and I am truly stoked to a completely different level about this whole thing!

Here are the new countries in order:

Ukraine

Romania

Nepal

India

Tanzania

Uganda

Rwanda

Thailand

Cambodia

Challenge: Asia

Malaysia

Also, as of the moment I type this, I have $2,467.65 in my account and I need $3000 by training camp (July 2)! This means that I have $532.35 to go. If you have considered supporting me as a missionary for this next year and are equally as passionate about the new opportunities I now have, there really is no better time to help get me funded to cover initial costs. Absolutely every single bit helps.
