ABOUT ME:
I just graduated this past May from Liberty University with a degree in Religion: Biblical Studies but the Washington, DC area is home. I love where I am from, but I take it as a compliment when people think I am from California. My mom and my sister Colleen live in Northern Virginia as well and my dad currently lives in Bangkok, Thailand. Traveling is one of my favorite things and I lived in England and have traveled a few times to Thailand, and also Scotland, Cambodia, and the Czech Republic.
As for some interesting information about me, I am addicted to everything about trail running and I would like to do a triathalon one day soon. I love all things board sports and since getting on a skateboard in 4th grade I've had an obsession with board riding. Surfing, snowboarding, and longboarding are things of pure joy in my life. It's probably just safest to say that I love playing just about any sport or doing anything active… I've had 5 broken bones and a few concussions to prove it. What can I say, "go big or go home!"
I don't know how to accurately describe myself sometimes. I consider myself to be a pizza connoisseur. I adore backpacking and sleeping in my hammock, especially when I can convince someone to rock me to sleep like a baby. Playing the guitar is my release and I have a passion for leading worship. I am all about a good dance party. NERD ALERT: I have always wanted to be in a Civil War re-enactment and I have an undying love for Jeopardy. I have a love affair with rap music and freestyling raps with friends. I love cooking, baking, and long talks around a fire with a Dr. Pepper in my hand. Also, numerous times in my past I have laughed so hard that I pee, which is fine, because I prefer laughing and laughing hard.

Jesus has made me alive and free and filled me with so much hope. He's taken me from hopelessness into true joy and the freed me for freedom, especially the freedom to obey HIm (2 Corinthians 3:17). He's called me His own and He's got big plans. He's redeeming every part of me and calling me to fight for those who cannot fight for themselves. I want to see the world and point Him out to the people I meet. I've got a good story to tell and a lot of other crazy ones too and I am so stoked for this journey around the world that He's about to take me on!
Want to know about how I ended up doing this whole World Race thing? Read this.
ABOUT THE WORLD RACE:
The World Race is an 11-month 11-country mission trip that I will be starting in September of 2011. This journey will take me to 3 different continents and to the countries of Ukraine, Romania, Nepal, India, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, Challenge: Asia, Malaysia. Each country will involve immersion into meeting various needs ranging from working with youth, HIV/AIDS orphans, victims of human trafficking, teaching English, and building up the local church. It's highly likely that there are some things that I will be involved in that I won't know until I arrive in the country for that month.
For more information on my route and about the countries specificially see this page.
