Our month in Malawi is now over, and we are in Johannesburg,
South Africa. We are staying at a hostel all month, and now have running water,
(hot showers) electricity, internet, and more. It feels great to be blessed with
all of these things again, but I am definitely appreciative of the experience
we had last month without them.

I was able to enjoy Christmas for what it really was, the
birth of Christ. I didn’t have family around, gifts to open, and decorations to
enjoy, but I did have amazing people to spend it with.

During our last few days in Dzuwa, we did some evangelizing, which
got pretty intense. We got to witness to a village that partakes in witchcraft.
It was a group of people we were able to talk to, and one of the women informed
us that she used to be a Christian, but she has had a hard time keeping up with
her faith because she is surrounded by witchcraft. She informed us that people
go out at night, and dance in the grave yard. They cast spells on people to
harm them, and a bunch of other wild stuff. She is not involved with
witchcraft, but her kids are being affected by it. She said that at night,
people will come and take kids from their homes, starting at a very young age,
and teach them witchcraft. When the kids are old enough to realize what’s going
on, that’s when they tell their parents. This lady re-dedicated her life to
Christ, but asked that we continue to pray for her, her family, and children.

New years: We actually got to celebrate new years in a huge
indoor casino. It looked like a mini Disney World/Vegas. We had a good time
dancing, and celebrating the New Year. We will find out more about our ministry
for this month in a few days, and I’ll update.

Grandma & Grandpa Lingo, I love you guys, and tell your
small groups, thank you for their prayers as well.

Grandma & Grandpa Hart, I love you both, and am
constantly praying for you. Thanks for your support & prayers as well.
