FREE

1. Not
imprisoned or enslaved; being at liberty.

2. Not
controlled by obligation or the will of another:

3. Costing nothing; gratuitous

If you saw the word ‘free’ anywhere, chances are, you would spend
a little extra time looking into the cause. ‘Free food’, ‘free gift’, ‘I am
free!’. Generally, anything free is desirable.

Today, on the streets of Galway, we offered free hugs, free face
paint, and freedom in prayer. The face paint was a success to a lot of
children, and younger girls. There were a few instances where children came up
to us for free face paint, and we were able to pray freely with their parents. It
was all smiles.

The hugs were a different storey. We walked around with signs
saying ‘free hugs’, and people either jumped at the chance, or gave us an
uncomfortable look, as to say “You people are weird!”. Everyone who asked for a
hug walked away smiling, and in return left me smiling. My face actually hurts
from smiling so much today.

The Bible quotes it best, in Matthew 10:8 Freely you have received,
freely give.

God freely gave his life for us, so that we may live eternally in
freedom. I encourage anyone who reads this to freely give to someone else. Even
if it’s something as simple as a smile
