Proverbs 3:5-6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

If I had to pick one word to summarize my race that word would be TRUST. When I left America 9 months ago, I didn’t know how to trust people or myself, and I didn’t fully trust God. These are all areas I am still struggling in but also growing in. At debrief at the end of last month this came up again in my one-on-one with one of our coaches. She said trusting God is like standing at the top of a high diving board and staring down into an empty pool. God then says, “Jump! I’ll provide what you need.” Trusting God is jumping off the board when you can’t see any water in the pool and believing that He will provide it when the time is right. It’s believing He will protect you. It’s letting Him have control of area of your life and not worrying about then once you’ve handed them over.
When I fully trust God with every area of my life I am then able to trust myself and trust others. This is what God has been showing me and what I’m pressing into. I don’t know exactly what it looks like and I don’t have to. I just have to jump.

“TRUST in the Lord with ALL your heart, and do not lean on yourown understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make straight your paths.”
