Today (September 4th) we got to tour a bunch of Buddhist temples. It was quite an experience. 94% of Thai people are Buddhists and we got to see many that had come to worship the gold Buddha statues. Here are a few pictures.

Above- The biggest golden idol I have ever seen known as the Reclining Buddha.

See how much taller the Buddha (above) is then I?!

We walked all the way up the stairs (pictured above) for an amazing view of Bangkok. The stairs became quite steep and it was a bit scarier going down!
The temple (pictured above) has all these beautiful Chinese and Cambodian style plates decorating it (see close up of one -pictured below).

Throughout Bangkok we found temples and idols everywhere.

The experience we had today was really powerful and eye-opening. It was also really helpful for us to learn about Thai beliefs and we spent a lot of time in silent prayer for Thailand. Pray with us that the sweet-spirited Thai people have their eyes opened and come to know the one true God. Our God reigns!
