Katey and I have reunited with our team and squad on the island. Praise the Lord! Our coaches (Scott & Carol Pitts, Selena and Chuck Day and their 3 teenage girls) arrived the same day we did. We had the best night with them. The Pitts and Days showered us with Christmas stockings and gifts. We had communion and just such a sweet time of fellowship. I am so thankful to be back.
The last few days we’ve spent debriefing our experiences in China and also resting up for our new ministry. Today (December 31st) we headed back to Manila where all of C Squad will live for the month. We are staying at a house used in ministry called OMF (Overseas Ministry Fellowship) and run by Jeff Long. We are very excited to each have a bed, a place to unpack, and a remarkable cook for the month. It looks like we’ll have many different ministry opportunities including working with street kids, slums, orphanages etc.
Fireworks are going off like crazy outside right now. Tonight we’re going to a place that overlooks all of Manila to watch the show.
