“Pleasant words are like honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.” ~Proverbs 16:24
This was the verse I read this morning while doing my quiet time on our back porch. It is beautiful outside, like a summer day which is rare for the Cape in April.

The truth is it’s been kind of miserable outside until today. It’s been cold, rainy and dreary out.
Not the best weather for someone battling depression.
So when I woke up this morning and the sun was shining I was full of praises to the King. God has blessed me so much this year. I just wanted to thank you all for praying for me and encouraging me.
After breaking off my engagement, leaving all of my friends, losing most of my belongings, my car, my apartment, etc. last year and falling into a very bad depression I felt extremely hopeless and ashamed. But to my surprise, no one looked down on me or gave up on me, not even God. Osterville Baptist Church embraced me in a way I had never experienced before. I received hugs from people I barely knew. Letters and emails came from friends of friends just encouraging me. I joined a Bible study and was immediately embraced. They are my prayer warriors, awesome women of God! My relatives generously poured out finances on me when I was in desperate need. And my family just loved me. Thank you all for standing by me in my time of need. I am a better person because of all of you. So
when I read these words this morning… “Pleasant words are like honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.” ~Proverbs 16:24
I couldn’t help but think of all of you. This verse rings true in my life because you all have brought sweetness to my soul and health to my bones. I am blessed.
