Today Mark Biddell took us to the biggest Buddha in the world.  It sits atop a mountain and looks down over Phuket.  We’d seen it driving before but weren’t really prepared for its enormous size.  To one side of the statue is a temple area housing many bright, shiny “gods” of every shape and size.  I watched as people went up to the Monk to receive a blessing.  Honestly it tore my heart into to watch so many people being deceived.  I was crying on the inside for those lost ones and praying that Jesus would open their eyes.

God has really shown me this month how many people still don’t know who Jesus is or how much they need Him.  As we leave tomorrow, Friday, October 5th my hope is that you continue to pray with me for the people here and that God would send more “workers”.  We’ll be in Bangkok to debrief from October 6th-10th.  On October 11th we head out to Cambodia with all of Team C (June) and Team D (September).  I’ll let you know more as we learn the details for this next month.

Here are some pictures of our month in Phuket.
